Truckee Meadows Quilters

Who We Are

Welcome to TRUCKEE MEADOWS QUILTERS

Truckee Meadows Quilters was founded in 1978 by a small group of women interested in the art of quilting.  The purpose of Truckee Meadows Quilters is to encourage and promote quilting and related arts in the Northern Nevada area.

Since its inception, the group has shown a deep sense of responsibility to the community and has helped many worthy causes through donations of time and money.

TMQ members also make quilts for the Neo-Natal Quilt Project and many other local and national groups that need quilts.  The primary means of supporting TMQ's philanthropic endeavors are the proceeds gained from the annual quilt show.

To promote our Neo-Natal Quilt project and extend our outreach, we provide a "Big Block" of the month program.  The pattern for this block which will measure 24 to 25 inches square is emailed monthly to our membership.

Meetings include opportunities to learn new techniques and skills, solve problems, and network with food, good conversation, and most of all, FUN!!!  Membership is open to all and guests are always welcome.  Please drop in and join us!!!
